Healsville Wildlife Area

Recognised as the top wildlife park in Australia, with all the favorites like koalas, platypus, reptiles and a multitude of coloured birds.

Their World of Platypus display complex has been designed in co-operation with Chicagos Brookfield Zoo.

Philip Island Penguin Parade

at dusk the Little Penguins (previously called Fairy Penguins) come ashore after a day fishing for food. The Penguins make their way across Summerland Beach in groups to return to their sand-dune burrows.

Melbourne Zoo

Auatralias oldest Zoo, opened in 1862. Significant historic features such as the design of the main walk and an early 20th Century menagerie exhibit are preserved, so comparisons can be made with todays presentations.

Sydney Zoo (Taronga)

Taronga Zoo was officially opened on October 07, 1916.

It is administered by the Zoological Parks Board of New South Wales and is located on Sydney Harbour at Mosman. It covers approximately 33 hectares (75 acres) and has over 2000 specimens and 400 species / sub species, including many endangered species.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

largest park of this kind in Australia. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is dedicated to the preservation of Australian Wildlife through education about the needs of the unique Australian animals.

Rainforest Habitat, Port Douglas

the purpose of the Rainforest Habitat is to enable visitors to appreciate and understand with a little more detail the intricate interdependence of rainforest fauna and flora by experiencing up close, some of its inhabitants and through this appreciation, aid its conservation

Orana Park

New Zealands largest wildlife park. The Park is a registered Charitable Trust, with all funding raised through admission, sponsorship, animal adoption, donations and fund-raising.

Tuatara enclosures and display, Kiwi House and Kiwi breeding facilities, NZ Walk Through Aviary.

Royal Albatross Colony

The only mainland colony of Royal Albatross in the world. The Albatross is one of eleven bird species which breed in the area, southern fur seals inhabit the waters rook pools and beaches and the rare yellow eyed penguin can often be seen close by.

Wildlife enclosure at Wellington

A new enclosure. This is a protective fence around an area on native forest in central Wellington. The purpose is to keep all predators out of this protected area to enable Native birds to settle and breed.

Mt. Bruce

55 acres of reserve for Native Bird Management. The Reserve is dedicated to researching, rearing and releasing rare birds in conditions of restricted freedom (in enclosures much larger than Zoo type enclosures normal in New Zealand).

Auckland Zoo

Largest Zoo in New Zealand, attracting over 440 thousand visitors a year. The Zoo has a very active conservation program operated in collaboration with the New Zealand Department of Conservation.
